Zheng, Andreeva to miss Wuhan Open following Beijing final - WTA Tennis

Wuhan Open 2026 Hit by Two Big Withdrawals

Zheng Qinwen and Mirra Andreeva have both pulled out of the 2026 Wuhan Open. Zheng is dealing with a shoulder complaint as the reason for her withdrawal, which came on the back of her title run at the China Open in Beijing. Andreeva also stepped aside after playing through that same final.

Philippines wildcard Alex Eala gets her tournament underway against China's Han Shi in the opening round of the WTA hard-court contest in Wuhan. Eala's wildcard entry puts her in contention against a local opponent.
