Ed Husic, Australia’s Industry Minister, condemned Labour’s inner culture after his plan to permit a discussion on recognising Gaza did not pass.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese allegedly described his statement at a meeting as incompetent.
Husic responded by saying he was unfazed by criticism, telling reporters: "put me in a cold chamber, I don't care at all."
The dispute followed failed attempts to push the party to formally recognise events in Gaza as genocide.
Party documents and internal files were later filed that revealed deep divisions within Labour’s ranks over strategy and leadership.
