Ed Harris complained early on about his limited part in the series in Dutton Ranch, the Yellowstone spin-off. He thought the role was meaningless and demanded to quit. Harris told Variety, 'bluntly Get me the f- out of here' as he walked away. He later chose to return for Season 2 to rejoin for the sequel. The show’s boss reworked the narrative and gave his character additional depth. That change prompted Harris choose to stay. Deadline now says he will return to the role.
